In a deep medium skillet on medium heat, cook garlic in canola oil or vegetable oil about 1 minute. Add cooked black beans; mash with potato masher to a course puree. Stir in enough water to make a creamy consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
